Callie O’Buckley
Callie discovered her passion for music when she selected the flute to play in the middle school band. From there she blossomed in her musical abilities and played piccolo, clarinet, oboe, sang in her high school chorus, and went on to study music and arts administration at the collegiate level. Before joining the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association, she worked for The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus as the Development Officer where she worked closely with donors and patrons, applied for grant funding, and managed planning for fundraising events. Prior to that, she worked for The Boy Scouts of America and the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. After moving to Santa Fe two years ago, Callie dedicated most of her free time to her passion of youth programming through the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails. She maintains a large troop of girls and volunteers here in Santa Fe and has even been featured as a panelist at Girl Scout events on the national level. Additionally, she has been active with The Santa Fe Symphony Music Education Committee where she helped with music education programming, organizing donor appeals, and planning donor events for the committee. Callie was raised in High Point, North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Administration, minoring in music. During her time on campus, Callie was the President of the Kappa Gamma chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, an International Music Fraternity, performed with a variety of musical ensembles, and earned five awards for leadership.
