SFYSA STUDENTS PERFORMING AT THE NEW MEXICO STATE CAPITOL. CIRCA 1998
Our History In 1994, Pam Parfitt, then-Director of the Santa Fe Suzuki Violin School, observed that essentially no performance ensembles existed in Santa Fe for young string players. To solve this problem, she and a team of dedicated Santa Fe parents and music teachers built the Santa Fe Youth Symphony.
Now in its 27th Season, SFYSA trains young northern New Mexico musicians in ensemble settings that include string and symphony orchestras, and jazz and mariachi ensembles.
