about
The Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association’s Mariachi Program provides mariachi music education and mariachi performance opportunities for students aged 7 - 20 in Santa Fe. The program increases cultural awareness, gives our youth diverse options for musical expression, and brings our community together. The program is open to students in Santa Fe, and all surrounding areas.
Mariachi Estrella is the SFYSA Mariachi program's most advanced ensemble. This group performs at the regular concert series, as well as in gigs out in the community. They will also attend various mariachi conferences/festivals each summer, as well as occasionally travel out of town on overnight trips.

how to sponsor a student
The traje de charro is the emblematic symbol of mariachi music. As our mariachi students continue to grow, it is critical that they differentiate themselves from other ensembles. With your help, our students will undoubtedly reach their potential and fully represent the culture of mariachi.
For $500, you will help support and provide:
- El traje de charro (mariachi suit) and needed accessories
- Mariachi Instruments
-Workshops/Conferences and more!
As a thank you, you will be invited to a private performance put on by Mariachi Estrella.
